2021 IIOE Asia-Pacific Mid-Year Consultation Meeting
——Experts review the updated IIOE Competency Framework for the Higher Education Workforce
On 15 July 2021, UNESCO-ICHEI and the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan (IIOE Presidency 2021), co-organized the pre-consultation meetings as part of the 2021 IIOE Asia-Pacific Mid-Year Consultation Meeting entitled "Digital Transformation for Inclusive and Quality Higher Education: Mapping the Core Competencies of the Higher Education Workforce".
During the pre-consultation meetings, experts from Mongolia, the Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, China, the UNESCO Almaty and the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (UNESCO-IITE) shared their views on how the updated IIOE Competency Framework can be better aligned with the existing national standards for teachers’ professional development across the Asia-Pacific region.
