Background

UNESCO recently released a report titled Reimagining Our Futures Together: A new social contract for education that calls for global solidarity and international cooperation, and invites governments, enterprises, and civil society to contribute their wisdom and build a new social contract for education and a peaceful, equitable, and sustainable future for all. It also emphasises that enterprise, as an important force in civil society, should reinforce their leadership in industry education partnership, vocational education, employment opportunity, and education digitalisation. UNESCO-ICHEI, IIOE and partner enterprise's collaboration on higher education in Asia Pacific and Africa serve as a case study for the Futures of Education initiative, and further cooperations and actions are called upon to catalyse the digital transformation of higher education in developing countries.
