The 2022 IIOE Annual Partnership Meeting will be held at 4:00 PM (UTC+8) tomorrow. The conference is co-hosted by UNESCO-ICHEI and the University of Nairobi (Kenya), the IIOE 2022 Rotating Presidency Unit.
Background
With the emergence of digital technologies, industrial production and the human lifestyle have experienced profound change. The rapid development of digital industrialisation and industrial digitalisation set new requirements for the knowledge, skills, and capabilities that the labour force around the world should possess. That will eventually revolutionise the concepts, philosophies, and methods of talent training, making higher education an inevitable trend for all. A series of challenges in this process requires extensive discussions to reach a consensus and develop practical solutions.
Within this context, UNESCO-ICHEI has consulted IIOE National Centres in Africa and Asia since July 2022, and has jointly released "Pilot Projects for Empowering Teachers' Digital Teaching and Learning". During the past few months, from design to implementation, the project has collected a series of research findings, results, and experiences in higher education teachers' digital capacity building. UNESCO-ICHEI sincerely invites IIOE National Centres to share milestone achievements and hopes to exchange insights and practices with multi-stakeholders worldwide in re-envisioning the higher education digital future together.
Moreover, to strengthen partnership building and knowledge sharing within the IIOE Network, UNESCO-ICHEI has identified the operational mechanism of the IIOE Secretariat under the guidance of the IIOE Rotating Chair. In this regard, UNESCO-ICHEI is committed to collaborating with global partners, reaching consensus, exchanging resources, and promoting higher education digital transformation with joint efforts.

1. Shared Achievements Experience Exchange: Pilot Projects for Empowering Teachers' Digital Teaching and Learning
This part will be moderated by Prof. LIM Cher Ping, Chief Expert of IIOE, UNESCO-ICHEI, Chair Professor of Learning Technologies and Innovation, Education University of Hong Kong. Partner universities from Asia and Africa will share their experience and regional experts will make comments.
2. Launch of the Operational Mechanism of the IIOE Secretariat
This part will be moderated by Mr. Lyu Feng, Assistant Director and Chief of IIOE Management Centre, UNESCO-ICHEI, introducing and discussing the operational mechanism of the IIOE Secretariat.
3. IIOE Presidency Unit Rotation for 2023
This part will be moderated by Prof. Han Wei, Executive Deputy Director of UNESCO-ICHEI, and conduct the 2023 IIOE Presidency Unit Rotation and remarked by representatives of the 2022 2023 IIOE Rotating Presidency Unit.
