In response to this emerging trend, the International Institute of Online Education (IIOE) is launching a webinar titled AI + Medicine: Interdisciplinary Integration in Higher Education, which will explore the cutting-edge applications and future prospects of AI in medical education and research.
This webinar will feature a keynote lecture by Professor Liu Jiang from Southern University of Science and Technology, who will share his insights and practical experience across key areas such as artificial intelligence, precision medicine, surgical robotics, and intelligent education. With extensive academic achievements and international collaborative experience, Professor Liu is a leading voice in advancing the convergence of AI and medicine. This event will focus on exploring how to build an innovative talent cultivation model for "medical-engineering integration," promoting technological innovation and curriculum development in higher education, and empowering the future-oriented development of the medical education ecosystem.

Meet Our Keynote Speaker
![]() | Dr. Jimmy Liu is a Chair Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and a Distinguished Professor at the Affiliated Hospital of Southern University of Science and Technology. Named "Outstanding Teacher in Shenzhen" in 2023, he previously held key roles including Chair of the IEEE Singapore Chapter (Biomedical Engineering Society), Adjunct Principal Scientist at the Singapore Eye Research Institute, and Director of the CAS Ningbo Cixi Institute of Biomedical Engineering. His research includes AI, precision medicine, Eye-Brain computing, surgical robotics, and education intelligence. He has led national research projects in Singapore and China, published over 500 academic papers, and authored textbooks such as Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence:Multimedia Computing. He has also developed MOOCs for higher education. |
